so, i'm actually applying for new jobs now. it's very scary and exciting. i'm hoping to get a state job, or get a job with the regence call center. i know a guy who works at the call center, and he really likes it.
i have an interview with the state in about a week and a half. it would be a data entry position. wish me luck!

man, sometimes i hate people.
the other day this lady called the theater, here was our conversation:
lady: what movies are opening this weekend?
me: casanova, brokeback mountain and hostel.
lady: what is brokeback mountain about?
me: two cowboys who fall in love in the 60s.
lady: *scoffs and gets offended [thus irritating me already]* well what is hostel about?
me: it's about a hostel in europe where people can pay the owners to torture and kill the people staying in the hostel. it looks pretty graphic.
lady: oh that sounds good, i like scary movies.
what the fuck?! why is it morally objectionable to watch two men fall in love, but it's perfectly okay to watch people being brutally murdered? i hate people! argh. worst lady ever. so frustrating.

i have been working my ass off. in january, i should be getting a raise, and a promotion, and if i don't, i am so going to rage. but i think it will happen, my boss has even commented on the fact that i've been doing a good job lately, so i think it's in the bag.
today at work, i had to do the grossest thing ever. one of our pop tower drains had clogged, so we had to flush it out. i mean, totally clogged, so that no water could get through at all, with congealed pop syrup. it was so disgrossting. we had to push a brush cleaner through, and it looked like it was pooping with all of the congealed pop syrup being pushed out--nasty. shane and i were both totally gagging. i mean, four feet of congealed pop syrup. a-gew.
i bought the new kanye west cd, it's totally sweet.
and i'm spent.

so my thanksgiving was quite lovely. my dad took me and his fiance and her daughter and son-in-law out to hometown buffet for dinner, because they did not feel like cooking. which was fine with me, becuase the meal was really good. and then we went back to their house and had pie, homemade chocolate cream... yummy. and then i took my dad and connie to see walk the line, which they both loved. and it was the first time connie had ever been to that theater--even though it's been up for years! crazy. anyway, it was nice.
and yesterday my mom and i went shopping, but of course, i only ended up buying stuff for myself! but, who can pass up dvds for $3.44 at wal-mart? or lost for only $29.99? apparently not i.
